Streamwriter 5.2.
When str/wr is invoked but with nothing being played or recorded there is a constant downloading of data in the background, as shown in the s/w status bar. It averages about 20kB/s. Is that bits/s or bytes/s? When s/w is quit the downloading stops so its definitely s/w that's doing it. What exactly is this background data downloading by s/w and can it be completely stopped whilst s/w is idle? (Am using BitMeter to double check that the data downloading is caused by s/w)

Hi,

take a look here at "Community". The checkbox on the bottom enables/disables monitoring of streams - this is what you see in the statusbar. When disabled streamWriter should consume no bandwidth for streams.
