Can you add AAC+ support?

Content-type: audio/aacp

Hello,

i will check if this is possible for me. If it is, this feature will surely take some time to be implemented. I will post here when I can tell you more.
Thanks for the suggestion:-)

Hi,

thanks for your answer.

Why is it so much effort? Do you want to process the audio data? Why not just write it to the file as it comes from the server with meta-data removed?

Actually, while recording MP3 streams, streamWriter only writes full frames so that the files don't have invalid data at the beginning or end. But I thought about just writing the data for AAC as you are suggesting and I think it will be okay for a first version.
Expect it to be ready next week, this would be a really nice feature;-)

Hi Alex,

many thanks for implementing this feature. :trink1:

But it doesn't work good for me yet, i have little sound interruptions & whole stops during the playback using the relay server.

Tested using VLC 1.0.3 and Technobase.fm AAC+ stream.

Hi,

I know that the relay server is not perfect yet and I hope I can invest some time for improvement in the future. Actually I only tested it using Winamp. Does VLC at least play the recorded AAC files?
