This is a simple question - sorry - can't seem to find an answer.

I have schedule a recording but I don't know if I have to have streamwriter "running" for it to record the program.

Does it "watch" in the background, or must I have the program as an active program in Windows 7?

The recording is locally, not a cloud service. So yes Streamwriter must run to record.
