Since installing this version a few days after its release, I hadn't experienced any issues until recently, when the background settings mysteriously reset. A few days later, the app forced me to navigate through all the setup dialogs as if I were launching the app for the first time. Upon investigation, I discovered that the streamwriter_settings.ini file had been reduced to 0KB, indicating that the settings were completely wiped out, and the streamwriter_data.inf file had been reset as well. Fortunately, I had saved backups of the files, so I could revert them back. This repeated reset has been quite frustrating, disrupting my workflow and requiring me to reconfigure on both computers. I would appreciate it if this issue could be addressed promptly to prevent further inconvenience without requiring constant manual intervention. |

Troubleshooting is difficult since I can't predict when it will occur.
When this issue happens, it resets key sections of the streamwriter_settings.ini file, reducing the file size from 4KB to 3KB, affecting settings such as window width and height and my custom color scheme. It also updates the streamwriter_data.dat file because the last updated sections from the streamwriter_settings.ini have been removed. Once, it required me to set up the app again like new. Since the setup wizard only runs on startup, I assumed this was understood. |

By the way, there is no reason for the unpleasant comments you write here. You can complain if you have paid for it.
What OS are you using, maybe another Program does causes that (Antivirus?), what else have you installed?. You could also download the latest "beta" build here and tries those exe…..
and btw do a backup then you can easily restore your settings when it happens. |
