I do not want to skip ads. In fact, part of the reason I need to records streams is to collect ads. When I try to uncheck that feature and then click "OK," the software puts the check back on. How do I disable that?

I cannot reproduce this problem, maybe you have changed the setting in the general settings and then opened the stream specific settings or vice versa? Every stream has it's own settings accessed by the button in the toolbar or the context menu, streamWriter's general settings are accessible using the main menu.

Hello Alex,
Yes I have the same problem, after upgrading to 5.4, the box "skip adds" is always ticked, both in general settings, as in the individual stream settings. If I untick it, click OK, and then open the setting again, it's ticked again. Also the 45 sec cannot be changed. I tried it on one Win7 machine, and on one Vista machine, both have the problem.

Hello Alex,
The problem seems to occure only if "save separate tracks" is unticked.
So a workaround is: first tick "save separate tracks", then it is possible to disable skip ads. Then afterwards it is possible to untick "save separate tracks"…. the "skip ads" stays disabled.

Thanks, I can reproduce it now and will fix it. By the way, if "save separated tracks" is not checked, the "skip ads" setting will have no effect because all received data from the stream is written to disk without inspecting it.
