Is it intentional or a bug?

This is intentional. The streaWriter-Server was rewritten for optimized performance and rebuilding the database was not avoidable. Give it some time, it will be repopulated in some days:-)

Thank you Alex!!;-)
Edit: I wonder is there a backup of the old database? Chances are many streams have just disappeared but their metadata is priceless. Well I dream the day when I will be able to use this data for a free open source recomendation engine..6-)

The database was always cleaned up periodically, when a stream "died" the played titles were/are also removed.

I looked into the backups, there is only an ElasticSearch dump with the raw database data which is in a very old file format because ElasticSearch was never updated on the server. I don't think anyone can work with that:-|
